Vitor Belfort: 'I have one plan, and my plan is win'
As he ages closer and closer to 40, Vitor Belfort is winning the battle with father time. Either that, or he has no idea how time works.
"I think I'm getting younger, actually," Belfort told MMAjunkie.com's Steven Marrocco.
The 38-year-old "Phenom" made his UFC debut at the tender age of 19, and has fought 32 times since - a lifetime when you consider the brevity of the average combat sports career.
Not only has Belfort lasted almost two decades, but he's still competing at a ridiculously high-level, and has a middleweight title bout booked against Chris Weidman at UFC 187 in May.
"I see me getting my game on and being ready to apply," Belfort said. "They say, you have plan A, plan B – I have one plan, and my plan is win.
"If you start getting too much like, 'I have plan A, plan B,' it's not like I'm a magician. I'm a fighter. I go there to win. We have head kicks, front kicks, right hooks, combinations. We've got everything, and when I think about it, I'm always in the winning position."
