NJSACB to allow instant replay use at UFC on FOX 15
The New Jersey State Athletic Control Board (NJSACB) is going to make instant replay available during Saturday's UFC on FOX 15 for commission members to review questionable calls by referees, NJSACB counsel Nick Lembo told MMAFighting.com's Luke Thomas.
Although strict guidelines for instant replay aren't in place, it is not available as a tool for fighters to challenge decisions.
"We are not going to be nit-picking referee calls," NJSACB head Larry Hazzard told Yahoo Sports back in October. "We are not going to have debates on issues. It has to be something we're sure of. And it's not something we're looking forward to using. We hope we never have to. But it is a safeguard for the fighters' sake."
UFC on FOX 15 takes place at the Prudential Center in Newark, and features a middleweight title-eliminator between Luke Rockhold and Lyoto Machida as the main event.
