Apparently, three convincing losses to Tito Ortiz aren't enough for Ken Shamrock.
Once the hottest feud in MMA, Shamrock and Ortiz find themselves competing under the same promotional umbrella for the first time in years, and the former "World's Most Dangerous Man" isn't opposed to rekindling the rivalry with Bellator despite both fighters being well past their expiration date.
"That right there, if I could get that fight to happen with where I'm at today and where (Ortiz) is at today, it would be awesome," Shamrock told reporters at a Bellator media day, according to MMAFighting.com's Marc Raimondi.
Shamrock lost via violent stoppage to Ortiz at UFC 40, UFC 61 and UFC Fight Night - Ortiz vs. Shamrock 3, with all three events either garnering a high pay-per-view buyrate or excellent television ratings.
"I'm not challenging him in any sort of way," Shamrock said. "I respect what he's done. I don't want to go back to where we were at. And if this fight did ever happen it wouldn't be the same fight. It wouldn't be this, 'I hate you and I'd piss on your grave.' We're beyond that. It would definitely be something that I would appreciate if he did. But he doesn't have to. He beat me three times and he beat me fair and square."
After a nearly five year hiatus, the 51-year-old Shamrock is returning to the cage against boatyard legend Kimbo Slice at Bellator 138 on June 19.
