Stipe Miocic smashes Mark Hunt in one-sided drubbing
Mark Hunt is too tough for his own good.
Stipe Miocic absolutely decimated Hunt for the better part of five rounds, picking apart "The Super Samoan" on the feet, and demolishing him on the floor with some vicious ground-and-pound.
In the third frame, Miocic, the superior wrestler, easily dumped Hunt to the mat and proceeded to smash him with fists and elbows for almost the entire round. For some reason, referee John Sharp wouldn't step in to stop the onslaught.
Rounds four and five were much of the same, as Miocic immediately took Hunt down and battered him with heavy ground-and-pound. With just over two and a half minutes left in the final stanza, Miocic trapped Hunt against the fence, and fed his bloated, swollen face a steady diet of punches until the fight was mercifully stopped at 2:47.
Just a one-sided drubbing plagued by poor officiating.
Official: Stipe Miocic breaks the single-fight UFC record for total strikes in a fight with 361 (former: Gracie, 355 at UFC 5).
