Rousey featured on Sports Illustrated cover as 'World's most dominant athlete'

Ronda Rousey continues to shine, not only in the cage.

Rousey, the most fierce female athlete in MMA, made the cover of Sports Illustrated this week. The magazine hits newsstands Wednesday and features a story on Rousey written by the magazine's executive editor, L. Jon Wertheim. The women's bantamweight champion adorns the cover dressed in her usual attire - fight gear.

It marks the second time Rousey has been in the Sports Illustrated, as she was previously a model in the magazine's swimsuit edition.

Rousey continues to gain mainstream popularity as she appeared in the blockbuster movie "Furious 7" earlier this year, and next month is set to make an appearance in the "Entourage" movie.

Rousey (5-0 UFC), who still holds an perfect professional record, will fight unbeaten bantamweight Bethe Correia (3-0 UFC) in the main event of UFC 190 in Brazil on Aug. 1.
