Barroso tops Jimmo in boring slog
It's kind of depressing when a debilitating groin strike is the undisputed highlight of a fight.
Ryan Jimmo and Francimar Barroso engaged in one of those fights on Saturday night.
Jimmo and Barroso spent most of the first round clinched along the fence, and, although not much happened, Barroso had the dominant position for the lion's share of the relative stalemate.
In what was the clearly the most devastating strike of the match, Barroso crumpled Jimmo with a massive kick to the groin that left the Canadian writhing on the floor in pain - they even got him a bucket to throw up into.
The two men participated in a full-blown staring contest for much of the final round, and when they did finally spring into (air quotes) action, the bout settled into a grinding clinch-fest along the cage.
This fight is the perfect example of how more MMA is not necessarily a good thing.

Barroso may have gotten his hand raised in the end, but everyone with a functioning TV and a subscription to FOX Sports 1 was a loser after that display.
