The Andrea Bocelli effect is being heard around North America, including the UFC.

The MGM Grand Hotel and Casino recently booked the singer for a show on Dec. 5, 2015, at its Grand Garden, the same day UFC 194 would take place.

Alternatively, the fight promotion could be looking at different venues to host the fight, particularly, the mega-sized AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, as stated in an initial report by Kevin Iole of Yahoo Sports.

UFC president Dana White later confirmed to Ariel Helwani of MMAfighting.com that the rumblings were true.

The arena complex, complete with a retractable roof and 85,000-seat capacity (105,000 including standing room) could be economically beneficial, as it would host the most anticipated fight of the year.

Conor McGregor was initially scheduled to fight Jose Aldo at UFC 189 on July 11, but an injury to the Brazilian forced featherweight title contender Chad Mendes to step in as his replacement. McGregor won the fight by knockout in the second round, raising the level of excitement for the fight to an all-time high.

McGregor-Mendes generated a $7.2 million gate, at a venue that holds 16,000. That number could rise exponentially at a bigger site.
