34 Seconds: Rousey viciously knocks out Correia at UFC 190
It was quick, violent, and expected.
More a force of nature than a fighter, Ronda Rousey retained the UFC women's bantamweight title and title of Baddest Woman on the Planet with a 34-second decimation of Bethe Correia in the main event of UFC 190 on Saturday night.
With months of personal rage violently bubbling over, Rousey eschewed her usual grappling attack with an all-out fistic assault, wading through Correia's bombs in order to land a series of nuclear warheads of her own. After crushing the stumbling Brazilian with a few left hands, Rousey sent Correia careening to the canvas (and to dreamland) with a thumping right hand to the temple.
Correia looked more like a falling redwood than a falling human.
"Don't cry," Rousey reportedly said as she stood over Correia. The words were calculated, of course - Correia used them on Rousey during their weigh-in.
Rousey, quite possibly the most dominant athlete on the planet, has dispatched her last three opponents in less time than it takes to nuke a hot pocket, needing a mere 64 seconds to brutally run through Correia, Cat Zingano, and Alexis Davis.
Fact: With this finish, @RondaRousey has finished six consecutive opponents, which ties the 3rd-longest finish streak in UFC history #UFC190

Following the bout, Rousey made it clear that Correia had made things personal, obviously a grievous error with terrifying consequences.
"I hope that nobody brings up my family anymore when it comes to fights," she said. "I hope this is the last time."
