UFC signs Thomas Almeida to new contract

Barnburning bantamweight Thomas Almeida will ignite the Octagon at least five more times, as the UFC have signed the Brazilian to a five-fight contract, sources told MMAJunkie.

Financial details of the signing remain undisclosed.

"Thominhas" has eclipsed every opponent he's faced in the UFC so far and currently rides a three-fight UFC win streak.

At UFC 189, the Sao Paulo native connected a flying knee to the chin of Brad Pickett, earning him a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus. The finish is a sure candidate for knockout of the year, as well.
