Jon Jones due in New Mexico court on Sept. 29
Jon Jones will be in a New Mexico court on Sept. 29 for a plea hearing for his involvement in an alleged hit-and-run in April, writes MMA Junkie's Steven Marrocco.
Jones is facing a felony charge for leaving the scene of an accident causing great bodily harm or death. He faces a maximum of three years in prison and additional fines if convicted.
The 28-year-old allegedly collided with a pregnant woman's car, and took off on foot after taking cash from the rented SUV he was driving. Police found marijuana inside the vehicle, along with documents that identified the fighter.
Jones turned himself in to authorities a day after the accident. He was stripped of his light heavyweight title and suspended indefinitely by the UFC.
