- The world destroyer known as Ronda Rousey will look to continue her reign over the women's bantamweight division against former professional boxing champion Holly Holm at UFC 193 in November.
- Julianna Pena burst into title contention (and the top 10) with an impressive decision victory over the uber-tough Jessica Eye at UFC 192. Following the bout, Pena called out Rousey, saying she'd be the Evander Holyfield to the champion's Mike Tyson.
- Tonya Evinger's incredible career resurgence continued unabated at Invicta FC 14 in September, violently stopping Pannie Kianzad with a barrage of punches. After missing out on getting into the TUF house a few years ago, Evinger has racked up eight wins in a row.
- After being spurned for a title shot in favor of Holm, a somewhat bitter Miesha Tate awaits the next opponent in her quest for an eventual trilogy bout with Rousey. One potential opponent for Tate: Amanda Nunes, who UFC president Dana White suggested could be next in line for the former Strikeforce champion.
