Holly Holm: 'I like that people are still doubting me'
Holly Holm relishes the chance to play spoiler.
Facing nearly insurmountable odds against women's bantamweight overlord Ronda Rousey at UFC 193 this weekend, Holm is well aware that she's a massive underdog, but looks forward to violently upsetting the apple cart in Australia.
"I like that people are still doubting me," Holm told MMAFighting.com's Ariel Helwani. "That just makes me know that it's time to show everybody what I'm capable of."
"I want to rise to the occasion," she added. "I want to take the challenge and make the most of it."
An undefeated mixed martial artist with championship boxing pedigree, Holm will likely bring a few dimensions to the cage that Rousey hasn't faced during her viciously brief encounters.
"I'm a different fighter than anyone she's been in there with," she said, before admitting that Rousey is also a completely different beast than any of her previous opponents. "She's a different fighter than I've ever been in with."
