- The biggest fight in featherweight history is almost upon us. After months of pro wrestling-esque back-and-forth, Jose Aldo and Conor McGregor will finally meet inside the Octagon at UFC 194 on Dec. 12.
- On the eve of UFC 194, a new No. 1 contender could be crowned. With a victory over Chad Mendes at the TUF 22 Finale, Frankie Edgar will likely vault himself to the front of the queue at 145 pounds. That is, if the loser of Aldo-McGregor isn't granted an immediate rematch.
- Ricardo Lamas kept himself in the featherweight hunt at UFC Fight Night 78, rudely welcoming Diego Sanchez to the division with a lopsided unanimous decision victory.
- Daniel Straus exorcised some demons at Bellator 145. After losing twice to Patricio Freire since joining the promotion in 2011, Straus bested the Brazilian on Nov. 6, recapturing the featherweight title in the process.
- Sporting nuclear warheads where his fists should be, Jeremy Stephens will bring his devastating power back to the cage at UFC 194 against the streaking Max Holloway.
