Dustin Poirier did not escape his victory over Joseph Duffy unscathed.

Despite employing a smarter, more measured game plan that involved deftly mixing combination striking with well-timed takedowns, Poirier's nose was crumpled by one of the Irishman's hammers during the opening round of their bout at UFC 195 last week.

Mere days after his nose was crushed, "Diamond" found himself going under the knife to repair multiple nasal fractures.

Poirier's expecting a six-week recovery period, but is facing a potential six-month medical suspension pending clearance from a doctor.
