Rousey says Holm rematch will happen 'some time later in the year'
Ronda Rousey won't fight at UFC 200 in July, but a rematch with Holly Holm remains in the cards for later in 2016, she said over the weekend according to TMZ Sports and ESPN.
"It's later, some time later in the year," Rousey said in an interview posted on TMZ's website. "(The UFC) haven't told me anything exact, like date or location, or anything yet. It's a decision we're all going to make together, but I mean, I'm kind of waiting to hear from (the UFC) what options they're going to give me."
When asked to clarify whether she was talking about a rematch with Holm, Rousey was definitive.
"Of course! That's all I want to do," she said. "What do you think we were talking about, man?"
Holm destroyed Rousey at UFC 193 on Nov. 15, winning the female bantamweight title in the process.
Holm will put both her title and 10-0 record on the line when she faces Miesha Tate at UFC 197 on March 5.
