PHOTO: Flashback to 9-year-old Sage Northcutt on cover of 'Sport Karate Magazine'
If Sage Northcutt ever reaches his goal of becoming the youngest UFC champion in history, it won't be the first time he sets a precedent.
At the age of 9, Northcutt graced the cover of "Sport Karate Magazine," the youngest person to accomplish that feat. "Super Sage" won 77 world championships in karate prior to embarking on a career in MMA.

Fast forward to 2016 and Northcutt is now in the UFC, having won his first seven MMA contests. Suffice to say, he's grown up a little since his days in youth karate:

Northcutt fights for the first time at 170 pounds this Saturday when he faces Bryan Barberena at UFC on FOX 18 in Newark, N.J.
