Royce Gracie's triumphant return at Bellator 149 has prompted another former champion to consider coming out of retirement.

In a Facebook post made on Saturday, one-time UFC lightweight titleholder Sean Sherk expressed his desire to fight Gracie inside a Bellator cage:

I'm glad Royce Gracie won that fight last night, now I'm just to go ahead and say what I've been thinking for the last...

"The Muscle Shark" last competed at UFC 119 in 2010, a split-decision win over Evan Dunham. Injuries piled up for him after that, and he announced his retirement in 2013 after a long period of inactivity.

During his career, Sherk compiled a record of 36-4-1 with his only losses coming against Matt Hughes, Georges St-Pierre, B.J. Penn, and Frankie Edgar - all fighters who were or would become world champions. Sherk himself won the UFC's 155-pound belt and defended it once.
