BAMMA featherweight champion Tom Duquesnoy finished Damien Rooney in resounding fashion on Saturday at a show in Dublin, Ireland.
The fight was contested at 135 pounds and any frustration Duquesnoy felt from the cut was taken out on Rooney. "Fire Kid" lived up to his nickname, reducing Rooney to ashes with a frightening KO at the 1:22 mark of the first round.
The 22-year-old Frenchman moved to 12-1 with the win. He trains with the famed Jackson-Wink camp in Albuquerque, N.M., and he could be in the major leagues soon with more performances like this.
