Rafael dos Anjos criticizes McGregor's weight class jump
Rafael dos Anjos is using Conor McGregor's shocking loss to Nate Diaz as proof that he should stay where he belongs.
The UFC lightweight champion was supposed to defend his title against McGregor in the main event of UFC 196, but he gave way to Diaz after breaking his foot in training last week.
Due to the late change, McGregor's match with Diaz was set at 170 pounds, two weight classes higher than the featherweight division that McGregor currently rules over.
Shortly after the loss, Dos Anjos directed a pair of unflattering tweets at McGregor:
This is not feather weight

On Sunday, Dos Anjos elaborated on those statements with an Instagram post:
The post reads:
That's what weight divisions are made for, a bigger man can take heavier shots and keep going. A featherweight can't think he can go up and kill everybody. I'm not rejoicing in somebody's defeat, but when you start to think you're God, God shows you what you really are.
