UFC fighter Paige VanZant joins 'Dancing with the Stars' cast

UFC strawweight contender Paige VanZant will go back to her roots when she competes in the 22nd season of ABC's "Dancing with the Stars."

VanZant, who has a dance background in ballet, jazz, and hip hop, made the announcement official on her Instagram:

The 21-year-old has not competed in the cage since a submission loss to Rose Namajunas last December. She will team up with two-time mirror ball trophy winner Mark Ballas.

Season 22 of "Dancing with the Stars" premieres on March 21.
