Jon Jones' PR rep backtracks on tweet announcing fight vs. Anthony Johnson
The UFC world is waiting to hear who Jon Jones' opponent will be at UFC 197 after Daniel Cormier pulled out due to injury, and for a short while, it appeared fans were going to be treated to a dream matchup.
Denise White, CEO of EAG Sports Management, the PR firm that represents Jones, appeared to jump the gun by announcing that her client would be fighting Anthony "Rumble" Johnson at the event on April 23 in Las Vegas, Nev.

When it became clear that the fight had not been agreed upon, White hastily deleted the tweet and apologized to fans for tantalizing them with what is arguably the best-case scenario after the rematch with Cormier was lost.
Jumped the gun . So sorry @UFC fans . No definite opponent yet .

Jones has made it clear that he still intends to fight at UFC 197 despite the lack of preparation time for a new opponent.
