Ty Gibbs: Fifth-Place at the Glen
Gibbs finished fifth in the Go Bowling at the Glen NASCAR Cup Series race at Watkins Glen International Sunday afternoon.
Analysis:
Gibbs continued his recent power surge with a good performance Sunday at Watkins Glen International. The rookie driver started fourth on the grid and battled among the leaders all afternoon in this challenging road race. Gibbs would hold onto that great track position well into stage 3 and would be set up for a great finish. He couldn't run down AJ Allmendinger in the closing laps, but would settle for the strong fifth-place finish. It was Gibbs' second Top 5 of the season and extended his current Top-15 streak to five races.
