Denny Hamlin: Top-5 Finish at Talladega

Hamlin finished fourth in the YellaWood 500 NASCAR Cup Series race at Talladega Superspeedway Sunday afternoon.

Hamlin boosted his hopes of making the Round of 8 with a good performance Sunday in the YellaWood 500. The Joe Gibbs Racing star didn't have the speed to lead many laps, but as the old saying goes, the cream rises to the top in the end. Hamlin would find himself racing among the leaders down the stretch and he'd hold off Corey Lajoie in the chaos to grab a brilliant fourth-place. It was his series-leading 13th Top 5 of the season.
