Kyle Larson: Third in Toyota Owners 400
Larson finished third in the Toyota Owners 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Richmond Raceway Sunday night.
Analysis:
It was the usual Richmond performance we've become accustomed to with Larson in recent seasons. He'd lead 144 laps and dominate early on in this 400-lap event. Larson would take the win in stage 1 and then remain in the Top 5 for a majority of the evening at Richmond Raceway. The driver of the No. 5 Chevrolet would spin with 2 laps remaining, bringing out the caution and setting up overtime. However, Larson would recover nicely and hold off Martin Truex Jr. for an impressive third-place finish.
