Shake and bake: Kurt Busch to run a Ricky Bobby Wonder Bread paint scheme at Talladega
Kurt Busch went on FOX’s early-morning show “Fox & Friends” to tell everyone that Wonder Bread will be sponsoring the No. 78 car at Talladega in October. For those unaware, the 2006 film “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby” featured fictitious NASCAR driver Ricky Bobby (played by Will Ferrell) driving in a Wonder Bread car.
This isn’t the first time that Kurt Busch has run a paint scheme inspired by the film. In early 2012, Busch and Phoenix racing debuted the “Talladega Nights ‘Me’” car, featuring a paint scheme similar to the one Ricky Bobby drove when he was forced to drive for himself. (See image below)
Kurt Busch is currently 7th in the Chase, 40 points back of leader Matt Kenseth.
