Todd Gilliland: Tops Final Mexico Practice

Gilliland was fastest in Happy Hour practice for the Viva Mexico 250 NASCAR Cup Series race at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez on Friday. He turned a fast lap of 93.180 mph.

Analysis:

As drivers became more comfortable with the Mexico City circuit, speeds would increase in this final session ahead of pole qualifying. Gilliland would pick up the pace from is opening session and top the scoring pylon in this final practice. He edged Ross Chastain to lead the session. The driver of the No. 34 Ford will look to challenge the Top 10 in Sunday's Viva Mexico 250.
