Todd Gilliland: Runner-up Finish at Talladega
Gilliland finished second in the YellaWood 500 NASCAR Cup Series race at Talladega Superspeedway on Sunday afternoon.
Analysis:
Gilliland earned his first Top-5 finish of the season with a strong performance at the Talladega oval. The Front Row Motorsports driver would start 27th on the grid and make his way forward to crack the Top 10 during stage 2. Gilliland would then battle among the leaders down the stretch and lead 11 laps. The late restart would see him push his way to the front and cross the stripe just behind race-winner Chase Briscoe.
