Veteran NASCAR driver Mears will return to the sport's biggest stage in 2026, as he is set to compete in the Daytona 500 driving for Garage 66.
Analysis:
Building on the five starts that he made last season with this team, Mears continues to approach the 500-start milestone. The veteran driver earned one Top-20 finish in his attempts last season and that came at Talladega. If he can qualify for the field, this would be Mears' 13th start in the Great American Race. His last Daytona start came last summer in the Coke Zero Sugar 400 where he finished 29th-place in that event.
