NASCAR names Madison Martin the newest Miss Sprint Cup

23-year-old Madison Martin is using her experiencing covering racing to start her new gig as Miss Sprint Cup, NASCAR announced today. Martin joins current Miss Sprint Cup’s Kim Coon and Brooke Werner for the 2014 season.

"The biggest part is bringing NASCAR to the fans," Martin told NASCAR.com about her new job. "Giving them that cool, personal experience that I had at my first race. If I can make somebody's day by talking to them … about the sport I love, that's an amazing opportunity. Meeting with fans, with drivers, doing stories, it all just pairs together a lot of the things that I love and enjoy doing."

Martin graduated from Frostburg State University, where she majored in Mass Communications, and also worked as a student reporter at Richmond International Raceway. Other jobs included WSOC-TV in Charlotte and interning at FOX News Channel.

"My mom took me to my first race (at Richmond) and I got pulled up on the Miss Sprint Cup stage by Monica (former Miss Sprint Cup Monica Palumbo Hancock)," Martin said. "That was actually my introduction into Miss Sprint Cup and my introduction into NASCAR. And I ended up becoming a huge fan after that experience."

So look around for Martin, whether it be on your television screen, or at the many events that the role of Miss Sprint Cup brings.
