Kyle Busch to bring back the No. 18 Skittles Toyota this weekend
The Skittles brand (made by Wrigley, a subsidiary of Mars, Inc.) will make their comeback to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at this weekend’s Phoenix race. The Skittles No. 18 Camry will also participate in the March 16th race at Bristol.
“I am honored to help Skittles make a comeback to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series,” said Busch, driver of the No. 18 Camry. “Skittles was one of my favorite candies growing up and still is today, so I am thrilled to be driving the Skittles paint scheme this season.”
For a bit of history: Skittles made their NASCAR debut back in 1998 when they sponsored Derrike Cope and the No. 36 Pontiac. In 1999, Ernie Irvan drove the No. 36 Skittles car and went on to take the top starting spot at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
