Josh Wise's 'Dogecar" to return at Talladega fall race

Good news for the underfunded Phil Parsons Racing team, as they announced on Thursday morning that cryptocurrency Dogecoin and online community Reddit.com will again sponsor Wise’s No. 98 Ford Fusion at October’s 19th’s Geico 500 at Talladega Superspeedway.

The websites were able to raise money for sponsorship by selling Josh Wise / Dogecoin t-shirts, meeting their goal of selling 5,000 shirts in just six days. 

The online communities also voted Wise into the Sprint-All Star race, via fan voting. Wise beat out heavy favorite Danica Patrick to get the 23rd and final spot into last Saturday night's race.

The relationship between Phil Parsons Racing, Reddit, and the Dogecoin community has been nothing short of remarkable.
