Farmers Insurance extends Hendrick sponsorship

Farmers Insurance announced on Friday morning that they’ve extended their sponsorship of the No. 5 car currently driven by Kasey Kahne, for 3 more years.

The insurance company will serve as a primary sponsor for 12 races each year from 2015-2017. They will also serve as associate sponsors throughout the season. This is a bit of a reduction, as they are currently sponsoring 22 races this season.

Kasey Kahne’s contract with Hendrick Motorsports is up at the end of the 2015 season.

It’s going to be an insurance heavy race team, with Dale Earnhardt Jr. getting sponsored by Nationwide Insurance next season.
