The caution flag came out on the 16th lap of Sunday's GoBowling.com 400 after Danica Patrick cut a right rear tire, and went straight into the wall. See a GIF of the incident below:
Patrick was running 11th at the time, but dropped down to 42nd after getting repaired on pit road.
This is not the first case of tire issues so far in the race. Jimmie Johnson cut a tire near the start of the race, bringing out a debris caution. Johnson was the beneficiary of Patrick's mishap, allowing him to get back on the lead lap.
