Biffle picks up new primary sponsor for 2015
After 3M announced last week that they were ending their sponsorship of Greg Biffle at Roush Fenway Racing (RFR) at the end of the season, many wondered where that would put Greg Biffle in 2015.
On Friday morning, RFR announced that Biffle has a new sponsor: Ortho, a weed and pest killer, which falls under the Scotts Miracle-Gro company umbrella.
Biffle will debut the paint scheme (as seen above) at next week’s Cup race at Atlanta Motor Speedway, and will serve as a primary sponsor next season. No specific number was provided as to how many races Biffle would run with Ortho as primary sponsor, but Roush said “roughly half” of the season will be sponsored by the company.
Roush took a big hit last week when 3M announced their departure from the team, heading over to Hendrick Motorsports to sponsor Jeff Gordon. Roush president Steve Newmark told the media that they were in talks with Ortho before 3M left the team.
“We’re always looking for sponsors,” Newmark said.
Biffle is currently 11th in points, has three top 5’s and eight top 10’s, but has yet to win a race this season.
