On Saturday afternoon, Toyota unveiled their 2015 Camry race cars that will compete in the Sprint Cup and XFINITY Series (currently known as the Nationwide Series) starting next season.
According to Toyota, the redesign, “provides the vehicle with a more unique identity – and a look similar to the 2015 production Camry that was introduced earlier this year.”
As you can see from the pictures above, the biggest change to the car is the front grille, which looks like its street version. The quarter windows have also been changed to look “more sleek” according to Toyota.
Toyota said that NASCAR approved the designs in the mid-August, and are currently the only manufacturer that have altered their design since the Gen 6 cars were debuted in 2013.
