The caution flag waved on Lap 245, as Danica Patrick and Ryan Newman were involved in a wreck.
Team Penske driver Joey Logano dumped Patrick, getting into the left rear side of her car and sending her spinning off of Turn 3. Newman then spun, trying to avoid Patrick and didn’t receive much damage to his No. 31 car.
“I didn’t hit anything there except the splitter,” Newman said on his radio.
Patrick, on the other hand wasn’t all too happy with Logano.
“I’d love to go and take him out,” she said on her radio. Her crew chief Tony Gibson advised her not to retaliate.
