Ricky Craven to remain at ESPN
ESPN announced on Monday that former driver Ricky Craven will remain with the network as a NASCAR analyst.
With ESPN ending their NASCAR broadcasting duties at the end of the season, on-air personalities have either been shuffled around inside the company, or moving to other networks.
ESPN announced last week that they’ll be keeping reporter Marty Smith, but his role would branch out to other sports.
“Our news and information platforms will continue to provide NASCAR fans with coverage of the sport and insightful analysis going forward,” said ESPN senior coordinating producer Michael Shiffman in an e-mail statement.
“Ricky Craven has proven to be a valuable voice and analyst and we are very happy that he is remaining part of the ESPN team into the future.”
“I’m completing my seventh year with ESPN and I’ve been challenged and rewarded,” said Craven, also in a statement. “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my experience and greatly appreciate the vote of confidence.”
