Brad Daugherty to remain with ESPN, but moving over to basketball
ESPN announced on Wednesday that NASCAR analyst and former NBA player Brad Daugherty will remain with the network, but move over to an NBA and college basketball analyst.
Daugherty joined the NASCAR on ESPN’s broadcast booth in 2007. He is part owner of JTG Daugherty Racing, which owns the No. 47 Chevrolet SS driven by AJ Allmendinger.
“I’m ecstatic about having the opportunity to remain a part of the ESPN family,” said Daugherty in a statement. “I thoroughly look forward to working with the talented individuals and crews that bring basketball into millions of homes on ESPN throughout the season."
The network says that Daugherty will start his new role in the “beginning of November,” but didn’t mention whether he’d still remain on the NASCAR broadcasts for the remaining three races.
