Chase Elliott: Fifth-Place in Instacart 500

Elliott finished fifth in the Instacart 500 at Phoenix Raceway Sunday afternoon.

Analysis:

Elliott was unable to defend his Phoenix victory of last November, but he did overcome starting in the rear of the field to charge to the front. By the end of stage 1 he was already up to fifth-place. Elliott would remain a Top-10 driver for the rest of the way. By lap 312 he would cross the finish line with a strong fifth-place finish. It was Elliott's second Top 5 of the season.
