Erik Jones celebrates 19th birthday at Dover
Erik Jones celebrated his 19th birthday at Dover International Speedway Saturday before he got behind the wheel of his No. 20 Toyota to compete in the NASCAR Xfinity Series race.
Jones was given a surprise serenade of "Happy Birthday" and cake, although the best birthday present for any NASCAR driver would be a trip to Victory Lane.
If the youngster is victorious, he will become the first driver to win an Xfinity race on his birthday.
Jones started the Buckle Up 200 from sixth position in his first start at the Monster Mile. In 11 Xfinity Series races this season, he has one win and six top-five finishes.
