Chris Buescher holds on to win Xfinity race at Dover

Chris Buescher had enough fuel left in the tank to coast across the finish line and into Victory Lane in the NASCAR Xfinity Series Buckle Up 200 at Dover International Speedway on Saturday.

Buescher knocked teammate Darrell Wallace Jr. out of the way, forcing the polesitter to pit with 10 laps to go. Buescher managed to stay at the front of the field for the rest of the race, even with his fuel gauge sitting at almost empty. Wallace Jr. finished 17th.

Matt Kenseth was runner up at the Monster Mile. He led the race with 46 laps to go, but had to pit to get four fresh tires and fuel, and birthday boy Erik Jones took over the lead.

Jones headed onto pit road for a two tire pit stop with 17 laps left. Jones entered pit road too fast and was handed a speeding penalty that put him at the tail end of the lead lap, and out of contention to win. He finished ninth.

Regan Smith finished in third, and won the first Dash 4 Cash. He left the track $100,000 richer.

Austin Dillon and Kasey Kahne rounded out the top five.

It was the second Xfinity series win for Buescher and his No. 60 Ford team in three weeks, the first coming at Iowa Speedway. He now has a 15-point lead over Ty Dillon in the points standings.
