Austin Dillon: Crash and DNF at Talladega
Dillon crashed and finished 38th in the GEICO 500 NASCAR Cup Series race at Talladega Superspeedway Sunday afternoon.
Analysis:
Dillon was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time Sunday in the GEICO 500. The Richard Childress Racing veteran would be running back in the field at lap 141 when chaos would break out. A hard check up by Zane Smith would get him tagged in the rear hard by Joey Logano and the No. 38 Ford would slash up the track and into Austin Dillon. The multi-car crash that would follow would involve five cars in turn 3, with Dillon getting some of the worst of the damage. It was his third DNF of the season.
