Stenhouse fined $75K for punching Busch
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. has been fined $75,000 for punching fellow Cup Series driver Kyle Busch during an altercation after Sunday's All-Star Race, NASCAR announced Wednesday.
Two crew members of the No. 47 JTG Daugherty Racing team were also suspended for multiple races. Stenhouse's father, Richard, was indefinitely suspended for violating NASCAR's code of conduct.
Stenhouse and Busch bumped cars shortly after the green flag of Sunday's event, with Stenhouse's car receiving most of the damage. He'd exit the race after two laps and go onto park his damaged vehicle in Busch's pit stall.
Following the event, Stenhouse waited for Busch at his hauler, where the two briefly argued before Stenhouse punched Busch. The punch led to a short tussle between each of the racers and their teams.
