William Byron: Wins Daytona Duel 2
Byron won Daytona Duel 2 at Daytona International Speedway Thursday night.
Analysis:
Kevin Harvick would dominate most of this 60-lap qualifying race. The Chevrolet drivers would get their act together in the closing laps and organize in the outside line. Byron would make an opportunistic jump to the head of that line with the help of Kurt Busch. The driver of the No. 24 Chevy would duel with Kevin Harvick over those final 3 laps and hang on for the win. It was Byron's first-career victory in the Daytona Duel. He'll roll off fourth in Sunday's Daytona 500 as a result of the win.
