Bubba Wallace: Moving on from RPM
Wallace informed Richard Petty Motorsports on Thursday that he won't return to the racing team for the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series season, Jordan Bianchi of The Athletic reports.
Analysis:
The 26-year-old's contract with RPM was set to expire at the end of the current Cup Series season (Nov. 8), and Wallace has apparently already reached out to other organizations in search of a new ride in 2021. In the midst of his third season with RPM, Wallace sits 23rd in the Cup Series standings and has turned in a career-high five top-10 finishes thus far in 2020.
