Christopher Bell: Third in Daytona 500
Bell finished third in the Daytona 500 NASCAR Cup Series race at Daytona International Speedway on Monday evening.
Analysis:
Bell would carry the baton high for Toyota Monday night in the Great American Race. He would race among the leaders most of the evening and lead a total of 22 laps, the second highest total of the race. Bell would come through the big accident with 8 laps remaining relatively unscathed. Keeping the fenders on would be key as Bell would return to green with 4 laps remaining and hold off Corey Lajoie coming to the checkered flag to secure an impressive third-place finish.
