Bubba Wallace: Fifth-Place in Daytona 500
Wallace finished fifth in the Daytona 500 NASCAR Cup Series race at Daytona International Speedway on Monday evening.
Analysis:
With eighth- and seventh-place stage finishes to start the race, Wallace made his spot among the Top 10 most of the evening in Daytona. The 23XI Racing veteran would lead 3 laps during the Great American Race and escape the final big crash of the night to race for the win. Wallace couldn't get around the pesky Corey Lajoie coming to the checkered flag, but would collect the strong fifth-place finish. The effort continued what has been a strong career at Daytona with five Top-5 finishes and a stellar 12.4 average finish at the historic Florida oval.
