Joey Logano: Crash and DNF in Phoenix
Logano crashed and finished 34th in the Shriners Children's 500 NASCAR Cup Series race at Phoenix Raceway Sunday afternoon.
Analysis:
It would be a disappointing outcome for Logano and the No. 22 team. The Penske Racing star would be mired deep in the field at the start and that poor track position would be his ultimate undoing. A lap 206 accident would be set off when John Hunter Nemechek would hit Logano from the rear in turn 1. The multi-car crash that would follow would involve six cars with Logano getting the worst of it. He would be retired early due to car damage with the disappointing DNF.
