Erik Jones: Fast Darlington Practice

Jones was fastest in Happy Hour practice for the Cook Out Southern 500 NASCAR Cup Series race at Darlington Raceway Saturday afternoon. He turned a fast lap of 166.461 mph.

Analysis:

It wasn't surprising to see the Legacy Motor Club driver top practice at the Track Too Tough to Tame. Jones has a good history and really likes Darlington and it showed in this lone practice ahead of qualifying. The driver of the No. 43 Toyota is a Top-10 threat for Sunday night's 500-mile battle under the lights at Darlington Raceway.
