Ross Chastain: Crash and DNF in Daytona 500
Chastain crashed and finished 40th in the Daytona 500 NASCAR Cup Series race at Daytona International Speedway on Sunday evening.
Analysis:
Chastain would start among the leaders and have high hopes for this Daytona 500, however, his race would last just 70 laps. The Trackhouse Racing veteran would get tangled up in a multi-car crash when the outside lane among the leaders would get stacked up and backed up causing a chain reaction crash back in the field. Chastain, Martin Truex Jr. among others would be involved. The No. 1 Chevrolet was too damaged to continue and Chastain would be saddled with the disappointing DNF.
